This is the jaw bone of a temnodontosaurus, one of the largest and rarest ichthyosaur species found on the Yorkshire coast of Britain. This jaw has been exceptionally preserved by nature and has been brought back to 'life' after many hours of expert preparation. This fossil not only consists of being an exquisite jaw specimen, but additionally has associated paddle bones still attached in their fossilised position as seen when discovered. As a result this ichthyosaur jaw is a truly rare piece that would make an extraordinary addition to any museum or individual's collection.
